Removing DrezSync is safe and predictable, but deactivating and deleting do different things. Here is exactly what happens to your data.
Deactivating changes nothing
Deactivating the plugin just stops it running. Your Google connection, your booking fields, your entries, and your calendar events all stay exactly as they are. Reactivate and everything picks up where it left off. If you are troubleshooting, deactivating is the safe thing to try.
Deleting removes the Google connection, and only that
Deleting the plugin runs its cleanup, which removes the credentials and access token for your Google account from your site’s database. That is deliberate: leaving credentials behind after someone removes a plugin would be a security problem.
Everything else survives, because none of it belongs to DrezSync:
- Your bookings stay. They are Gravity Forms entries, under Forms then Entries, and Gravity Forms owns them.
- Your booking field settings stay. Your calendar ID, hours, and rules are stored inside the form itself.
- Your calendar events stay. Every booking already written to Google Calendar remains on that calendar. Removing the plugin does not touch your Google account at all.

If you reinstall later
Your forms and their booking fields are untouched and still configured. The one thing you redo is the Google connection, because the credentials were cleared on delete. See How to connect Google Calendar to DrezSync.
Deleting the free version after upgrading to Pro
This is safe and expected. When both builds are on the site during an upgrade, deleting one leaves the shared settings alone. DrezSync only clears the stored Google connection when the last copy of it is removed. So your Pro install keeps its connection. See Upgrading from Free to Pro Without Losing Your Work.
Removing your bookings too
If you want the booking data gone as well, do it in the two places that hold it. Delete the entries under Forms then Entries in Gravity Forms, and delete the events on your Google Calendar. Neither happens automatically when you remove the plugin.
