DrezSync decides which times to offer from two things: the rules on your booking field, and what is already on your Google Calendar. There is no separate holiday list, and you do not need one. To close a day, put an event on the calendar.
The short answer
Add an all-day event to the calendar your booking field uses. That day’s times disappear from the form. DrezSync hides any time that overlaps an existing event, and an all-day event covers every slot in the day.
Blocking a single day
- Open Google Calendar and click the day you want to close.
- Create an event and tick All day.
- Check it is on the same calendar your booking field points at. If you are not sure which that is, see How to Find Your Google Calendar ID.
- Save.
Name it whatever suits you. Closed, Holiday, Away. DrezSync only cares that something is there, not what it says.
Blocking a vacation or a range of days
Create one all-day event that spans the whole range rather than one event per day. Drag across the days in Google Calendar, or set the start and end dates on the event. Every day it covers closes.
It has to be the right calendar
The event must sit on the calendar the booking field actually uses, which is often a dedicated bookings calendar rather than your personal one. An event on the wrong calendar does nothing at all, and this is the most common reason a day that looks blocked still takes bookings. See How to Find Your Google Calendar ID to confirm which calendar the field points at.
Closing the same day every week
If you never take bookings on a Sunday, do not use events for it. Untick that day under Open days on the booking field instead. That is permanent and needs no upkeep. Use calendar events for one-off closures, and Open days for your standing schedule.
A catch worth knowing if you use slot capacity
This applies to Pro fields with Capacity per slot set above 1.
Capacity works by counting how many events already sit on a time. So on a slot with a capacity of 8, one all-day event counts as one booking and leaves seven places open. The day does not close.
To fully close a day on a field with capacity, you need as many all-day events as the capacity, or you untick the day under Open days for as long as the closure lasts. It is worth checking this before a holiday rather than discovering it on the day.
When it takes effect
Availability is read live from your calendar, with a short cache of about a minute so repeated clicks stay fast. Add the event, give it a moment, then reload the form. If it still shows the old times after that, see Changes Are Not Showing Up.
