Your DrezSync Pro license activates the Pro features on one site. This article covers activating it, moving it to a different site, and what happens with staging copies.
Where the license lives
Once DrezSync Pro is installed, go to DrezSync in your WordPress admin menu, then Account. That screen shows your plan, your license key, and the controls for managing it.
Activating
Install and activate DrezSync Pro, then enter your license key when prompted. The Pro settings appear on your booking fields straight away, at their defaults. Nothing else needs reconfiguring. See Upgrading from Free to Pro Without Losing Your Work.
Moving the license to another site
A license covers a set number of sites, so moving it is a two-step job:
- On the old site, open DrezSync, then Account, and choose Deactivate License. That releases the seat.
- On the new site, install DrezSync Pro and enter the same license key.
Deactivating a license does not touch anything else on the old site. Your Google connection, your forms, and your bookings all stay. The site simply reverts to free behaviour.
Staging and development copies
A staging copy is a different site as far as licensing is concerned, because it has a different address. If you clone production to staging, the clone arrives carrying a license that belongs to another URL, and you will be asked to confirm which site should hold it.
If you only have a single-site license and you want Pro working on both, that needs a license that covers more than one site.
Changing to a different license
The Account screen has a Change License option, for when you upgrade to a bigger plan or need to swap the key for any reason. Enter the new key there rather than deactivating first.
If Pro features are not showing
Check the Account screen first. It tells you plainly whether the site is registered and which plan it holds. If it shows the free version while you hold a Pro license, you are running the free build and need to install the Pro one. See Upgrading from Free to Pro Without Losing Your Work.
If your subscription lapses
Nothing you built stops working. The Pro features you are already using keep running, and your forms and bookings stay intact. A lapsed subscription only stops future updates and priority support. See Free vs Pro.
