When a form has more than one booking field, DrezSync stops the same person from booking two overlapping times. This is on by default and needs no setup. This is a DrezSync Pro feature.
What the customer sees
- As soon as they pick a time in one field, the clashing times in the other field are dimmed, struck through, and cannot be clicked. It happens live, before they submit.
- If two fields do end up on overlapping times, the field turns the time red and shows a clear message.
- If they change one pick, the other field updates instantly, freeing up whatever no longer clashes.
- After a failed submit, each field reloads its full list of times and keeps what they had, so they can just choose a different time without starting over.
What counts as a clash
- Two time slots that overlap in clock time. A 30 minute slot at 10:00 clashes with a slot at 10:15 in another field, not only with an identical 10:00.
- Two date ranges that share a night.
- A time slot that simply falls inside a date range is not treated as a clash, since a person can have an appointment during a stay.
- The same time on different days is not a clash.
It works across different calendars
The check compares the chosen times, not the calendars. So it still catches a person booking a 10:00 massage in one room and a 10:00 facial in another, even though those are separate calendars.
Turning it off
Each booking field has an Avoid time clashes setting, set to Yes by default. Set it to No on a field to opt that field out. The main reason to do this is a form meant to book two different people at once.
