Two numbers tell you how much of your hosting you are using: disk space (how much you are storing) and bandwidth (how much data your site serves to visitors). Keeping an eye on both helps you avoid surprises. Here is where to look.
Check Disk Usage
- Log in to cPanel and open Disk Usage in the Files section.
- You will see a breakdown of which folders are using the most space, which is the fastest way to find what is eating your storage.
Check Bandwidth
- Open Bandwidth in the Metrics section.
- You will see how much data your site has served over recent periods, with graphs by month and day.
The general Statistics panel on your cPanel home screen also shows both figures against your plan’s limits at a glance.
If either is climbing fast: a sudden bandwidth spike can mean a traffic surge, or it can mean bots or image hotlinking. Growing disk usage is often old backups or logs piling up. We can help you find the cause.
