Web Disk lets you connect your server to your computer so it shows up like an ordinary drive or folder. Once it is set up, you drag files to and from your website the same way you move files around your own desktop, no separate FTP program needed.
The Steps
- Log in to cPanel and open Web Disk in the Files section.
- Use the main Web Disk account, or create a new one with its own access and folder.
- Click Access Web Disk next to the account.
- Choose your operating system, follow the short setup, and your server appears as a connected drive.
Turn on encryption when your host offers it. An encrypted Web Disk connection keeps your files and login protected in transit, which matters any time you are moving data over the internet.
