If you would rather read your domain email inside an inbox you already check, like Gmail or Yahoo, you can forward it automatically. Every message sent to your domain address lands in your everyday inbox.
The Steps
- Log in to cPanel and open Forwarders in the Email section.
- Click Add Forwarder.
- Enter the address to forward from (your domain email), then enter the destination address (your Gmail, Yahoo, or other inbox).
- Click Add Forwarder.
One catch worth knowing: when you reply from your everyday inbox, the reply goes out from that address, not your domain address, unless you set up your inbox to send as your domain. If keeping a consistent, professional from-address matters, setting the account up directly in a mail app is the cleaner route.
