Creating a Social Media Strategy: Value and Goals

Category: SEO & Marketing • Est. reading time: 2 minutes

One of the most common things we hear is “I don’t have time for social media.” We get it, it slides to the bottom of the to-do list. But a little strategy up front turns social media from a guessing game into something that actually grows your business. It starts with two things: knowing your value, and setting real goals.

Start With the Problem You Solve

Before you post anything, answer one question: what problem do you solve? When you know how your product or service helps people, your value becomes clear, and clear value is what your content should communicate. For us, we build fast, modern websites, which solves the problem of an outdated or missing web presence. Whatever yours is, name it. It becomes the focal point for everything you post.

Set One or Two Real Goals

Once you know your value, set goals, and get specific. Skip vague ones like “get more followers.” A good goal is measurable and time-bound, so you can actually tell whether you hit it. When you are starting out, pick just one or two so you do not spread yourself thin. Some examples to get you going:

  • Conversions: 5 new buyers from social media in the next 3 months.
  • Brand awareness: grow website traffic to a set number of visitors a day within 6 months.
  • Networking: attract 100 professionals to your audience in 3 months.
  • Customer service: answer 40 comments and direct messages in 6 months.
  • Education: increase your reach by a set percentage over 4 months.

These are starting points, not a limit. Build goals that fit your business.

Why This Matters

With your value as the focal point and one or two clear goals, every post has a purpose. That is the difference between random posting and a strategy that moves your business forward. Next comes measuring whether it is working, and building content around it.

A Word on Where Your Audience Lives

Social platforms are rented land. You do not own them, and they can change the rules overnight. Your website is the home base you actually own, and it is where you want your social traffic to land. That is what we build. If you want a fast site to anchor your marketing, or a hand mapping out your plan, reach us at support@allydrez.com or 1-321-209-2004.

A note of full transparency: we do not actively run social media ourselves and no longer offer it as a service. We share this because clients still ask. Worth knowing: growing a real social presence is close to a full-time job, frequent posting plus daily engagement, week after week, with no finish line. Done halfway, it rarely pays off. Treat these articles as a foundation and a gut check on whether that fits your time and goals. Platforms change constantly, so take any specifics as a starting point, not a rule.
