If someone books the 20th through the 24th, can the next guest check in on the 24th? And why does the calendar bar seem to end a day early? Here is how it works.
Checkout is exclusive, hotel style
A stay from the 20th to the 24th uses the nights of the 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. The 24th is the checkout day and stays open, so the next guest can check in on the 24th. Same-day turnover works by design.
Why the calendar bar looks a day short
The booking is written as an all-day event whose end date is the checkout day, and Google treats that end as exclusive. So the colored bar visibly covers the 20th through the 23rd and leaves the 24th open. That is correct. It is not a missing day, it is the checkout day being kept free for the next arrival.
To make it obvious for staff
The event title and description both spell out the dates, for example a title like Cabin Rental (Jul 20 to Jul 24) and a description that reads Check in: July 20, 2026 and Check out: July 24, 2026. So even though the bar ends on the 23rd, the checkout date is written plainly on the event.
If a same-day check-in is being blocked
The previous stay is not the cause, since it releases the checkout day. Look for a separate event sitting on that day, on the calendar the field actually uses, with weekends visible.
