Symptom: DrezSync was connected and working, then after roughly seven days it shows Not connected and bookings stop syncing.
Cause
This is the most common connection issue, and it is a Google setting, not a DrezSync bug. If your Google Cloud app is still in Testing mode, Google expires the connection after seven days. Any app left in Testing has this limit.
Fix
- Open your project in the Google Cloud console and go to the OAuth consent screen, or Google Auth Platform, depending on the current Google layout.
- Publish the app so it moves out of Testing mode into production. The connection guide has the exact steps and screenshots.
- Return to Forms > Settings > DrezSync and reconnect once.
After the app is published, the connection stays live and will not expire on the seven-day timer.
Good to know
Publishing does not require Google’s full verification for this use, because the calendar permission is treated as a lighter, sensitive scope. You are simply moving the app out of the temporary Testing state. If you would rather not handle the Google setup yourself, our done-for-you connection service covers exactly this.
