Change your email password on a schedule, and immediately if you ever suspect the account has been compromised. It is quick from cPanel.
The Steps
- Log in to cPanel and open Email Accounts.
- Find the address you want to update and click Manage.
- Scroll to the Security section, enter a strong new password, and click Update Email Settings.
Remember to update your devices. After changing the password, any phone or computer set up with that account will stop sending and receiving until you enter the new password there too. Update each one and you are back in business.
